Apprenticeships
Kick start your career with an apprenticeship with the Jersey Public Service
Our paid apprenticeships provide you with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, develop new skills, gain a professional qualification, and get started with a rewarding career in one of our essential Island services. To take part you must live in Jersey and hold ‘Entitled’ or ‘Entitled to work’ employment status.
What are apprenticeships?+
Our paid apprenticeships offer a blend of practical, on-the-job training alongside formal learning. They provide an excellent opportunity for you to gain valuable experience in the workplace, whilst also studying for a professional qualification that is funded by us. Apprenticeships typically last from 1-3 years, depending on the area you choose.
What areas do our apprenticeships cover?+
Whether you’re interested in finance, surveying, mechanics, HR, protecting the environment, caring for patients or helping to solve big issues, we can provide a variety of opportunities to get your career underway.
Who should apply for an apprenticeship?+
We offer a range of apprenticeship programmes to suit different levels of experience - anyone with Jersey residential status can apply.
Whether you are a school leaver, a recent graduate, someone interested in a career change, or you're looking to return to work after a break, our apprenticeships are for those looking for the opportunity to gain knowledge, skills, and experience while being paid and studying towards a qualification.
To take part in our apprenticeship opportunities you must live in Jersey and have 'Entitled' or 'Entitled to work' residential and employment status.
