What bespoke opportunities do we offer? +
We offer a range of different apprenticeship, traineeship, internship and work placement programmes to suit different levels of experience. To take part you must live in Jersey and hold ‘Entitled’ or ‘Entitled to work’ residential and employment status.

What are work placements?+
Our work placements are usually longer-term arrangements that allow you to gain a more in-depth understanding of your chosen field. These placements may be part of an academic programme, or a professional development initiative and they aim to provide you with practical skills and experience. These can also be undertaken during a gap year.
Who should apply for work placements?+
If you are a studying at college or are at university, our bespoke work placements are a great way to put your skills into practice in the work environment.
Equally, if you are a school leaver, a recent graduate, someone looking for a career change, or looking to return to work after a break, our bespoke work placements could provide you with an opportunity to gain new skills and experience.
To take part you must live in Jersey and have 'Entitled' or 'Entitled to work' residential and employment status.

What is Trident work experience, and do you offer bespoke placements?+
The Jersey Public Service is proud to support the Trident work experience programme. This is a programme that all Jersey Secondary Schools take part in during Year 10, and usually lasts for 2 weeks. It is a unique opportunity to experience working life while still at school and it is a fantastic way to test out potential future career paths.

Infrastructure Bursary
We’re providing Jersey students with a bursary opportunity of £2,000 per year to support your studies.
Have you been accepted to college or university to study Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building Surveying, Property Development, Construction and Estate Management, Urban Planning, Interior Design or Civil Engineering at University or College? If so, we may have a great opportunity for you!
We’re providing support towards the costs of your maintenance, travel, and tuition fees, as well as paid work experience.
