Judicial Greffe

The Judicial Greffe is a department of Jersey’s Court Service. The main goal of the department is to support the delivery of and access to justice in Jersey. 

To do this the Judicial Greffe provides judicial, secretarial and administrative support for the Island’s Courts and Tribunals including the Royal Court, the Magistrate’s Court, the Youth Court, the Petty Debts Court and the Family Court.

The Tribunals the Judicial Greffe administrates include Charity, Employment and Discrimination, Health and Safety, Mental Health Review, Planning, Social Security and Tax. The department also has responsibility for Jersey’s property registry, probate and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Colleagues in the department value the fact that they play an important role in the Island’s justice system and last year teams within the Judicial Greffe won public sector awards for Innovation and Customer Service.
