Learn from our experienced professionals, build essential skills and knowledge, and embark on your journey towards a fulfilling career. To take part you must live in Jersey and hold ‘Entitled’ or ‘Entitled to work’ employment status.
What are traineeships?+
Our traineeships provide experiential on-the-job training in a variety of roles to enable you to learn knowledge, skills and behaviours needed for a particular job. They provide real-world experience in your chosen field, allowing you to learn whilst you earn. You will be on a trainee progression plan, which may involve completing courses or qualifications relevant to the job or undertaking other development opportunities. Our traineeships usually last 1-2 years.
What areas do our traineeships cover?+
We offer traineeships across many different areas in the Jersey Public Service. The amount of career paths to choose from is huge, and whichever area you pick will enable you to have a positive impact on Islanders. From medicine to marketing, engineering to building maintenance as well as digital, IT, accounting and customer service, we can accommodate all interests.
Who should apply for traineeships?+
We have a variety of trainee programmes to suit different levels of experience – anyone with Jersey residential status can apply.
Whether you are a school leaver or graduate, someone looking for a career change, or looking to return to work after a break, our traineeships offer an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge, skills, and experience in your field of interest.
Applicants must live in Jersey and have 'Entitled' or 'Entitled to work' residential and employment status.
