Our department plays a central role in managing Jersey’s public finances and assets. We advise Ministers and help balance the books. We ensure the protection and effective use of public funds, and we work on modernising how public services are delivered.
We also manage projects to deliver effective outcomes and are responsible for the governance of projects across the entire organisation. In addition, we drive innovation while fostering diverse, sustainable approaches in the procurement and commissioning of goods and services.

Assurance and Risk+
Protecting our public service
Our team assesses and manages risks which might significantly or negatively impact our objectives as a public service. We use a combination of internal audit and risk management to protect our organisation, and we also oversee Freedom of Information, Corporate Portfolio Management, and Health and Safety, ensuring the Jersey Public Service operates smoothly and safely.

Delivering value for money is at the core of our team’s work. We provide a commercially focused function, helping Jersey Public Services achieve better outcomes from its spending while ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.

Our Finance Business Partners are ambassadors across all departments, providing valued financial insight, and influencing decision making, to achieve better value for money and develop a culture of accountability. The service they provide is at the heart of our customer focus, working alongside every Accountable Officer as part of their departmental leadership team, acting as a critical friend and a trusted advisor.
Our Analytics and Management Information team leverages cutting-edge technologies and best practices to enhance and standardise financial processes. By improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our services, we empower stakeholders with insights and tools to make better financial decisions.

Our team are a centralised finance function that delivers efficient and standardised financial processes to internal and external customers. With a focus on cost-effectiveness, quality, and control, our team optimises current systems while planning for future advancements, ensuring financial operations run smoothly.
Revenue Jersey+
Supporting Jersey’s tax system
As Jersey’s tax administration, our team plays a vital role in funding public services. We are responsible for administering and collecting taxes, including Personal Income Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Goods and Services Tax and Land Transaction Tax, as well as Social Security and Long-Term Care contributions.
Our team help Islanders to meet their tax obligations and get their contributions right, ensuring fairness and transparency in Jersey’s tax system.
