The Role
You will
- Champion Inclusion Promote and develop our inclusive ethos, ensuring all children, including those with additional needs, are fully supported.
- Curriculum Development Lead and innovate across the curriculum, ensuring it is broad, balanced, and supports excellent teaching and learning throughout the school.
- Assessment Oversee effective assessment systems, using data to drive improvement and support pupil progress.
- Support Middle Leaders Mentor and develop subject leaders, empowering them in their roles as middle leaders and fostering a culture of collaboration and high expectations.
- School Evaluation Demonstrate a strong understanding of school self-evaluation systems, contributing to ongoing school improvement and readiness for inspection.
- Educational Visits Coordinator Take on the role of Educational Visits Coordinator, ensuring the effective planning and delivery of educational visits that enrich the curriculum.
- Mentor and Support Colleagues Support and mentor colleagues to develop their practice, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and helping others become outstanding teachers.
About You
You will have
- Proven experience in supporting whole school curriculum development and assessment in a primary setting.
- A record of initiating and leading improvements in the quality of teaching and learning.
- Skills in mentoring and developing subject leaders.
- In-depth knowledge of school evaluation and improvement processes.
- Be a strong classroom practitioner across Key Stages with the desire to reflect and learn from your own practice, and support our school motto: ‘Each Unique, Together We Thrive’.
- Knowledge and understanding of current educational theory and practice and its impact on creating a high-quality learning environment.
- A creative and forward-thinking approach to leadership and learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to deputise for the Headteacher and work collaboratively with all stakeholders.
