Job Overview

To deliver educational psychology services to schools, communities, pre-schools and to other settings and providers to promote the development and positive outcomes of all children and young people through the use of applied psychology. As part of this role to undertake consultation, training, research projects and assessment/intervention, and providing support and challenge to these settings to secure the best outcomes for all learners, particularly the most vulnerable and those with SEND (0-19 years) across the Island and in line with Government of Jersey Inclusion Policy. Enable the Department to fulfil its statutory duties in line with the Jersey Education Law and the Code of Practice for Special Educational Needs (SEN) relating to children and young people who have or may have special educational needs To make a broad and positive contribution to the inclusion and wider education teams, and other services and agencies to contribute to multi agency support for children and young people and their families in line all with key strategic priorities with a focus on early intervention and inclusion.
