Job Overview

The Government of Jersey is committed to developing engineering talent and welcomes applications from candidates who may be at the beginning of their professional engineering journey. We recognise that valuable engineering competence can be gained through a combination of academic study and practical experience. Therefore, we welcome candidates who have developed extensive experience as an engineering technician, technical officer, or through a construction-related role, and who are seeking to progress their career.  We are particularly interested in individuals who demonstrate a strong commitment to continuing professional development, further study where appropriate, and progression towards professional accreditation, such as Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status through the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or another relevant professional body.

Therefore, we welcome candidates who have developed extensive experience as an engineering technician, technical officer, or through a construction-related role, and who are seeking to progress their career on a training programme specific to them.
