Job Purpose

Our Story

Jersey’s Children’s Services is on a journey.

In recent years, Children’s Services faced challenges including fragmented leadership, inconsistent practice, and reduced confidence across the system.

But that story is changing.

Over the last 18 months, a dedicated improvement programme has stabilised leadership, strengthened practice, and created measurable progress. With an investment of £15 million, we are demonstrating a clear commitment to the children of Jersey, our colleagues, and the service itself ensuring that every child has the opportunity to experience a safe and fulfilling childhood.

Now, we are building something permanent.

Something better.

A new leadership structure to take forward our vision of better support and care for children and young people in Jersey. As a smaller service than many in the UK, influence over service delivery and improvement is at the teams' fingertips with greater oversight across the various services.

Now we’re looking for exceptional leaders to help write the next chapter.
