Job Overview

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant looking to make a real difference in dementia care?

 

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our supportive team in our specialist Dementia Assessment Ward, at St Saviour’s Hospital.  As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting people living with dementia by:

Assisting with personal care and daily activities
Supporting patients through challenging behaviours with empathy and understanding
Monitoring and reporting changes in patient condition
Promoting dignity, respect, and person-centred care
Working closely with nurses, doctors, and families as part of a multi-disciplinary team
 

We are looking for people who have;

Experience in dementia or mental health care (is preferred but not essential, we have a comprehensive programme of continuing education)
Excellent communication and observational skills
A calm, patient, and compassionate nature
A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, emotionally rewarding environment,
