Job Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an internal candidate to apply for the role of Private Patients Income Team Supervisor / Non-Eligibility Lead within Health & Social Services.
The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Private Patients Income Team, ensuring all private patient activity is accurately identified, costed and billed in a timely manner to support income recovery.
The role also includes responsibility for assessing and making decisions in line with the non-eligibility policy, including investigating and making recommendations on charges relating to non-eligible patients.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support the Income Team, including workload allocation and performance
- Oversee the accurate capture, costing and billing of private patient activity
- Ensure income processes meet required deadlines, including month-end reporting
- Work collaboratively with clinical teams, finance, treasury and external insurers
- Resolve complex queries, including patient charge queries and complaints
- Support and develop self-pay and billing processes
- Assess eligibility and make decisions in line with relevant policies
