Job Purpose
About the Role
As a Band 5 Midwife, you will:
- Provide safe, evidence-based midwifery care throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods.
- Work collaboratively with obstetric, neonatal and multidisciplinary colleagues.
- Support women and families to make informed choices about their care.
- Promote health, wellbeing and safeguarding for mothers, babies and families.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of maternity services.
- Participate in a rotational programme across maternity settings, gaining valuable experience in all areas of care.
We welcome applications from experienced midwives who have completed their preceptorship and can demonstrate:
- A registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Midwife.
- A passion for delivering exceptional woman-centred care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to professional development and lifelong learning with a completed preceptorship programme.
- Evidence of suturing, cannulation and epidural care.
