MRI Modality Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and inspirational MRI leader to join Health and Care Jersey as our MRI Modality Manager.We are looking for a highly motivated MRI professional with a proven track record of leading and developing teams, driving service improvement, and delivering high-quality patient care. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future direction of MRI services within a modern and ambitious Radiology Department.
As MRI Modality Manager, you will provide strategic, operational and professional leadership for the MRI service, ensuring the delivery of a safe, effective and patient-centred service. Working in partnership with the Radiologist Lead and senior colleagues, you will play a key role in service planning, workforce development, governance, innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide visible and effective leadership for MRI services, ensuring clinical excellence and operational efficiency.
• Lead, manage and develop the MRI workforce, fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.
• Take responsibility for workforce planning, recruitment, performance management and professional development.
• Drive service innovation and development in response to patient needs, emerging technologies and national best practice.
• Ensure the highest standards of patient care, safety, quality assurance and clinical governance.
• Manage resources, equipment utilisation and capacity planning to optimise service delivery.
• Build strong relationships with radiologists, referring clinicians and external partners to support service development and patient pathways.
• Contribute to the wider leadership of the Radiology Department and support cross-modality collaboration where required.
About You
You will be an experienced MRI professional with:
• Extensive MRI clinical experience.
• Significant management and leadership experience within a healthcare setting.
• A demonstrable record of leading teams through change and service improvement.
• Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• A commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and developing others.
