Job Overview
We are seeking a Patient Support Officer, a role which provides confidential administrative support to our clinicians and patients within the Outpatient Appointments Department. The postholder should have excellent communication skills to deal in a courteous and compassionate manner with patients both face-to-face and over the telephone.
Good IT skills are essential to operate the patient database and booking system. You will have the ability to work accurately, in an organised manner, prioritizing your workloads to the needs of both clinicians and patients. You will be a strong team-player and an interest in health would be advantageous.
To provide and coordinate comprehensive and confidential patient support within the Health and Community Services Department. Supporting on a range of tasks, assisting with specific business as usual and task management as directed by the relevant manager, with particular emphasis on a positive patient experience, accuracy and flexibility, ensuring that all outputs are in line with requirements and agreed timescales.
