Job Overview
Do you believe children and young people should shape the decisions that affect their lives?
At the Office of the Children’s Commissioner (OCCJ), we are looking for a Participation and Engagement Officer to lead our work with children and young people – amplifying their voices, promoting their rights and ensuring they are heard at every level.
You will develop and deliver an inclusive participation strategy, design tools and activities to reach all young people (including those most marginalised) and lead our Youth Advisory Group. You will work with organisations across Jersey to embed children’s rights in policy and practice and deliver human rights education to professionals.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, experience of working directly with young people, and a strong commitment to equity, inclusion and human rights, to join our small, values-driven team. If that sounds like you we would love to hear from you.
