Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Neurological Rehabilitation Assistant to support our physiotherapy team in delivering high-quality inpatient rehabilitation services.
In this rewarding role, you will work closely with patients and multidisciplinary colleagues to help individuals maximise their independence, mobility, and quality of life.
About the Role
As a Neurological Rehabilitation Assistant, you will assist the physiotherapy team in providing rehabilitation programmes for a diverse inpatient caseload, including patients with:
Neurological conditions: Stroke, Parkinson's, MS
Medical conditions
Falls and Frailty
You will support patients with mobility practice, exercise programmes, transfers, activities of daily living, and rehabilitation interventions, while ensuring patient safety and dignity at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Assist physiotherapists in the delivery of individualised rehabilitation programmes
Encourage patient engagement and independence
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care
Contribute to maintaining a safe and effective rehabilitation environment
About You
The successful candidate will:
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be caring, patient, and motivated to support people through rehabilitation
Be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrate good organisational skills and attention to detail
Have an interest in neurological rehabilitation and patient-centred care.
Previous healthcare HCA, rehabilitation, or therapy assistant experience
