Job Overview
Do you want to achieve positive change for children and young people in Jersey? Are you ready to join a committed team and use your skills to support the Children’s Commissioner in ensuring that children’s voices and rights are reflected in public policy and legislation?
With a new four-year strategic plan freshly in place, this is the perfect time to be joining the Office of the Children’s Commissioner (OCCJ). As a key member of the team, you will be working alongside dedicated individuals who are passionate about placing the thoughts, opinions and ideas of our youngest citizens at the heart of decisions that will affect them in years to come. You will develop positions based on human rights principles and standards and communicate them using a wide range of tools including developing reports, briefing papers, consultation responses, and providing evidence to the Assembly.
We are looking for someone with strong analytical and research skills, excellent communication skills, good knowledge of public policy and a strong commitment to equity, inclusion and human rights, to join our small, values-driven team and help us drive change across law, policy and practice. If that sounds like you we would love to hear from you.
