Job Overview
Practice Development Lead,
Do you have a passion for driving best practice and inspiring professional growth in children’s social care?
We are looking for dedicated forward thinking Practice Development Leads to join our team in Jersey. This is a practice leadership role for an experienced Social Work professional with substantial post qualification experience; an understanding of relationship based practice and a track record of leading practice improvement in complex dynamic environments.
You will play a key role in strengthening social work practice across the service, embedding relationship based approaches, working closely with Managers, Heads of Service and colleagues in the Standards and Quality service.
You will coach, mentor and support practitioners and managers, providing reflective supervision and lead workforce development activity including training and workshops.
Using audits, learning from insight into practice and performance data, you’ll identify themes, inform improvement, and strengthen outcomes for children and young people.
Why Jersey?
- Purpose – genuinely child centred work with visible impact on outcomes for vulnerable children and families
- Supportive teams and relationships –approachable managers, peer support and reflective supervision and a team where you are valued
- Professional challenge and development – the chance to grow skills, work across a distinct legal and regulatory framework and develop through structured training.
- Jersey lifestyle – island living, proximity to the sea, walkability and a strong sense of community, alongside genuine work life balance.
If you have the credibility, leadership skills, and practice expertise to influence at a service wide level and are committed to developing others and improving outcomes for children, we would love to hear from you.
