Job Overview

This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of the team leading the development of private patient services in Health and Care Jersey (HCJ). Our aim is to bring private patient services back to a commercially strong, publicly supported and positive component of Jersey’s healthcare provision.

 

Working across care groups and specialities, the postholder will progress the implementation of the Private Patients Services Strategy, support the active provision of private patient services within the hospital and ensure established governance and processes are followed.

Initially reporting to the Private Patient and Commercial Lead, this role sits accountable to the Chief Operating Officer Acute Services portfolio. 

Job Purpose

Highlights of this role include:


-    Champion private patient services within HCJ, building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
-    Support care groups with delivery to achieve and exceed budgetary income targets
-    Monitor compliance with governance and reporting on service delivery
-    Line management for the Patient Finance Team and Business Support Officer
-    Lead the introduction of new services and processes in relation to private activity
-    Regular review and update of the private patient tariff
-    Implement marketing and communications activities
