By joining the Government of Jersey and wider Jersey Public Services, you'll be proud of what you can achieve – both for yourself and the people of Jersey. You'll enjoy a broader scope that allows you to express yourself, in a smaller setting that means you see the positive results of your impact every day. You'll have a diversity of opportunities that stretch and challenge you, with all the personal and professional support you need. Most of all, in our open, welcoming environment, your voice matters, enabling you to build a rewarding career.

Job Overview

Jersey Talking Therapies (JTT) are currently developing our workforce and it is an exciting time to join our team as a Psychological Therapist.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly-motivated High-Intensity Therapist to join our well established talking therapies service and provide psychological treatment for common mental health problems at step 3 intensity.

We are looking for applicants who have enthusiasm for working in a primary care setting, who are adaptable, enjoy variety, and working independently as well as within a team context. We provide high quality supervision, a friendly and supportive work environment with an overall culture of energy, solution focus and excellence in both service delivery and commitment to staff wellbeing.

You will receive regular clinical/management supervision and support from a Senior Clinician as well as benefit from peer support and guidance from other team members.

Please note that the service offers face to face, telephone and video sessions to patients based on clinical need and patient preference. You will be expected to participate in extended hours clinics offered by the service which can include some early morning and late evening clinics from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm on a weekly basis.

In order to be shortlisted for this post, applicants must be BABCP accredited or have attended a BABCP accredited CBT training course (High Intensity IAPT qualification or Post Graduate Diploma) with experience of working in a NHS Talking Therapies stepped-care service.

We want to recruit a diverse workforce, who are values driven, compassionate and have a desire to deliver high quality care every day. This is a rewarding role and there are a wide range of development and career progression opportunities.

For more information, please email the JTT Team Lead Steve Bougeard on S.Bougeard2@health.gov.je

As an inclusive employer we will create opportunities for flexible working to attract and retain talent which reflects the diversity of the communities we serve. We welcome applications for working flexible hours, part-time working and job sharing
