This is an unremunerated role and Board Members act in an honorary capacity. The Board meet only when an appeal has been received. It is not anticipated that this will be more than 3 to 4 times a year. Meetings of the Board can be arranged around the availability of its Members.
For this appointments exercise, the Minister for Treasury and Resources proposes to appoint Board Members for a term of up to five years. Board Members will be able, however, to choose to resign during their term of office. Knowledge of the parish rate system is not essential, but Board Members will ideally have some relevant financial, legal, property or business experience.

Please mark the envelope “Private and Confidential – Rate Appeal Board – Board Member” The closing date for applications is 30 November 2024.
