Job Overview
This role provides the front‑of‑house function for CAMHS and is the first point of contact for children, young people, families, referrers, and partner agencies. As part of a busy and high‑demand service, the postholder will work within a team of receptionists and administrators to ensure the smooth running of daily operations. They will contribute to the delivery of a responsive and efficient service that supports positive experiences for all who access CAMHS.
Key responsibilities include delivering front‑of‑house support, responding to enquiries in person, by phone and via email, managing appointments and room bookings, and processing prescription requests. The postholder will uphold high standards of organisation, accuracy, and professionalism in all aspects of their work.
The role requires exceptional communication skills, sensitivity, and discretion, particularly when handling confidential information or supporting individuals who may be distressed or anxious. The postholder will contribute to maintaining a calm, welcoming, and safe environment that reflects the values of the service.
