Job Overview

Are you passionate about recruitment and keen to play a key role in building the future of the Jersey Public Service? We’re looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Advisor to join our Operational Recruitment team.

 

As an Advisor in the Operational Recruitment Team, you’ll manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from advertising roles through to onboarding the successful candidate, while ensuring robust pre-employment checks and safeguarding standards are consistently met. Working closely with hiring managers and candidates, you’ll deliver a seamless and efficient recruitment process, with a strong focus on compliance, safer recruitment practices, and a positive and engaging candidate experience at every stage. You will also act as a key point of contact for recruitment enquiries, providing timely and accurate advice to candidates, employees and hiring managers through a range of communication channels.

Job Specific Outcomes

  • Deliver end-to-end recruitment activity, ensuring vacancies are filled in a timely, cost-effective and compliant manner.
  • Provide advice and guidance on recruitment matters and related employment policies, ensuring managers and employees receive accurate information and support in line with organisational policy, legislation and best practice.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and line managers through telephone, email and online channels, enabling effective recruitment activity and decision-making.
  • Prepare and issue contractual documentation relating to appointments and recruitment-related employment variations.
  • Ensure all work undertaken complies with the department's SLA’s, objectives and relevant legislation in order to achieve a consistent customer experience across the department.
  • Undertake a range of ad-hoc work as required on projects or change initiatives to contribute to the development and improvement of service delivery.
  • Ensure safeguarding processes are promoted and implemented to protect vulnerable adults and children.
