Job Overview

Are you passionate about supporting people with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD)? We’re looking for a committed and caring Registered Nurse (RNLD or RNID) to join our residential nursing team.

As a Registered Nurse in our service, you’ll play a key role in promoting the health, well-being, and independence of the people we support. You’ll lead and manage shifts, supervise care staff, and ensure high standards of care are delivered at all times.

 

Your main duties will include:

  • Providing person-centred care that meets the individual needs of people with PMLD
  • Administering medication and monitoring health needs
  • Supporting and working with families and other healthcare professionals
  • Leading and supervising the care team to ensure care is safe, respectful, and consistent
  • Developing, reviewing, and updating care plans and risk assessments
  • Creating a supportive environment that promotes dignity, independence, and quality of life
  • Working in line with the Jersey Care Commission regulations and care standards

ATTRIBUTES ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE
Qualifications 1st Level Registered Nurse with NMC Registration In possession of or commitment to work towards a level 2 vocational award in health and social care
Teaching and Mentorship qualification
Knowledge 2 Years Post qualification experience working across Learning Disability Nursing.
Thorough knowledge of NMC Code (2015)
 
Technical / Work-based Skills   Ability to manage risks and complaints
General Skills/Attributes Excellent verbal and written communications skills Demonstrate IT skills and will carry out all designated tasks effectively  
Experience 2 Years Post qualification experience working across Learning Disability Nursing.
