Job Overview
The Viscount’s Department plays a vital role in protecting the financial interests of vulnerable people, investigating deaths, enforcing court orders and managing juries.
The Department also deals with bankruptcies and with the seizure and management of assets, including assets that may be the proceeds of crime.
Officers in the Viscount’s Department employ a range of skills and specialist knowledge to analyse issues and find solutions to a variety of challenges as part of a diverse and multidisciplinary team.
An opportunity has arisen to join the Viscount’s Department as a Saisie and Enforcement Officer.
The successful applicant will work as part of a small team undertaking all aspects of work concerning Saisie Judiciares (freezing orders), forfeiture of assets and property restraint orders, including the seizure and subsequent protection of tangible and non-tangible assets.
The successful applicant will also, as required, undertake the duties of an Enforcement Officer, serving documentation for all forms of judicial process, enforcing judgment debts, which will involve liaising with the debtor, arresting movables, enforcing maintenance and child custody orders and compiling accurate records of all actions taken.
