Job Overview
Bel Royal School is seeking an organised, proactive, and personable School Administrator / Secretary and PA to the Headteacher to join our team. This is a key role at the heart of the school, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of administrative systems while acting as the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff, and visitors.
You will play an essential role in supporting the Headteacher and wider staff, maintaining high standards of communication, organisation, and confidentiality across all areas of school life.

Key Responsibilites
- Provide a professional and efficient administrative and secretarial service to the school
- Act as the first point of contact for visitors, telephone enquiries, and digital communication systems
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed for all visitors and support maintenance of the Single Central Record
- Support the Headteacher with a range of administrative and organisational tasks
- Manage school communications, including newsletters, website updates and correspondence
- Organise school events such as medical visits, school photography, and social activities
- Maintain accurate records and produce information using computer systems
- Administer basic first aid and support with incident reporting when required
- Liaise effectively with staff, parents, external agencies, and the local community
- Support school operations including post handling, minute taking, and general office management
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to problem-solve effectively in a busy school environment, remaining calm under pressure
- Highly competent across a range of IT systems, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to update the school website and communicate clearly and effectively with parents and staff
- Can manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Maintains a high level of discretion and confidentiality
- Can work independently using initiative
Desirable:
- First Aid knowledge
- Previous experience working in a school or similar environment
