Job Overview

Les Quennevais school are seeking a School Business Manager to join our supportive leadership team and help shape the future of our school.

 

 

The Role

As School Business Manager, you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for the strategic and operational management of the school’s business functions. This includes:
 
  • Finance: Budget planning, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with local and national regulations.
  • HR: Overseeing recruitment, payroll and contracts
  • Premises & Health and Safety: Managing facilities (including lettings) , maintenance, and  leading the site team to ensure a safe learning and working environment. 
  • Compliance & Governance: Supporting the Headteacher and Governors with statutory reporting and audits.
  • Marketing: Managing the school website, promotional literature, social media and organising whole school high profile events

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in financial and operational management, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Skills in leadership, communication, and strategic planning.
  • Proficiency  in Microsoft Office and confident with data analysis.
  • Commitment to the values of education and community service.
  • The ability to  work collaboratively with staff, governors, and external partners.
  • Confidence  with decision-making and strategic thinking.
  • An eye for detail and strive for excellence.
  • A desire to get involved in whole school activities and events
