Job Overview

Are you ready to shape policy that makes a real difference to children and young people in Jersey?

We’re looking for a Senior Policy Officer to lead high-impact work at the Office of the Children’s Commissioner (OCCJ). You will develop evidence-informed policy advice, influence legislation and support the Commissioner’s work to promote and protect children’s rights.

In this senior role, you will work across government and civil society, building strong relationships, monitoring policy developments and representing the OCCJ in key forums, locally and internationally. You will prepare briefings, guide strategic thinking and lead engagement on issues that directly affect children’s lives.

With strong analytical skills, political awareness and experience in complex policy environments, you will provide clear, confident advice. You will also mentor junior staff and contribute to a learning culture of independence, integrity and influence.

If you are driven by the same values that underpin the OCCJ and are ready to influence decisions at the highest level, this is your chance to help shape a better future for Jersey’s children.
