Job Overview

We’re recruiting a senior psychological therapist to join our inpatient older adult mental health service in Jersey. You’ll work across two wards – one supporting people with dementia, the other focused on acute functional mental health needs.

 

About the role:

You’ll work alongside a clinical psychologist and assistant psychologist on the working age ward as part of a small but active inpatient psychology team. You’ll take a lead role in delivering psychological input across the inpatient pathway, supporting people through admission, treatment and discharge.

 

You’ll also:

  • Deliver assessments, psychological formulations, and evidence-based interventions
  • Lead on formulation meetings and MDT care planning
  • Run reflective practice groups for inpatient staff
  • Provide consultation and supervision to other professionals
  • Work closely with community teams to support continuity of care
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement

 

You’ll need to have:

  • A recognised qualification and HCPC/BABCP/UKCP registration
  • Experience working in adult or older adult mental health
  • Skills in psychological formulation, trauma-informed care, and managing risk
  • Experience delivering reflective practice and psychologically-informed staff support
  • Confidence working across professional boundaries and services
