Job Overview

 

Are you a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse looking to join a skilled team of Residential Practitioners within a community setting?

 

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Band 4 Staff Nurse to join our team at Oakwell children’s short breaks home.

 

As a Band 4 Nurse in Oakwell, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, compassionate, child-centred care to children and young people with a range of needs to include intellectual disability, neurodiversity, physical disability and health care needs. You will work closely with children and their families, education and healthcare professionals in creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive whilst receiving the clinical support they need.

 

The role is full-time 37.5hrs per week however part time applications will be considered.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to children in need.
  • Oversight of clinical practice to include administration of medication, gastrostomy care and tracheostomy care.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and families
  • Maintain accurate children’s records and documentation
  • Contribute to service improvement and quality initiatives
