Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work as part of a supportive and dynamic Speech and Language Therapy service, delivering high-quality support to children and young people with speech, language, and communication needs.

Working under the direction of qualified Speech and Language Therapists, you will contribute to assessment, intervention, and service delivery across a range of settings including clinics, mainstream schools, special schools, and Additional Resource Provisions (ARPs). This role will include supporting children and young people with a wide range of needs, including complex communication difficulties.

This is an ideal role for someone passionate about helping others and interested in developing skills within a therapy, education, or healthcare setting.

Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to support the effective delivery of Speech and Language Therapy services by implementing therapy programmes, assisting with assessments, and contributing to the care and support of children and young people with communication needs.

The postholder will work collaboratively with therapists, families, and other professionals to promote positive communication outcomes, ensuring interventions are delivered consistently, safely, and in line with professional guidance. The role also supports service efficiency through accurate record-keeping, preparation of resources, and general assistance with clinical and administrative tasks.
