Job Overview
We are seeking to add to our dedicated team of hard-working and much valued College Housekeeping Team. You will work as part of our thriving Site & Facilities Team, undertaking various cleaning duties throughout the College, to ensure all areas are always clean and reflect the high standards we aspire to.

We have a vacancy for a full-time position, 38 hours per week, working Monday to Friday. To start as soon as possible.
Uniform will be provided.

Job Purpose
This is a whole College post.
To ensure the cleanliness of a designated area, being part of the whole school / College. Ensure that school facilities and associated areas are cleaned and maintained to the required standards, including that the facilities are operational in accordance with all requirements relating to cleanliness and health and safety.
Job Specific Outcomes
Main Duties
Daily and weekly work schedules as directed, to include as necessary sweeping, vacuuming, wet and dry mopping, washing, scrubbing, dusting, and polishing of floors, walls, windows, moveable furniture and fixtures and to carry out light laundry duties.
Cleaning and disinfecting, sinks, wash basins, toilets, showers where applicable, soap and sanitising containers.
Replenishing toilet and paper towel holders, soap and sanitising containers, as required.
Emptying wastepaper and recycling bins/baskets.
The postholder must report any breakages, faults of premises, equipment and/or suspected defects relating to the facilities or cleaning equipment to the Site Manager / Bursar.
"Spring clean" designated areas, or as part of a team, the whole school, during the school holidays, or as/when required.
Ensure that cleaning equipment and materials are returned to the storage area and notify the Housekeeper of any materials required.
Undertaking safe and efficient cleaning activities using a range of hand and machine tools, as required, paying attention to detail to ensure the facilities and associated equipment are clean, disinfected and tidy, to ensure a hygienic and safe environment for all.
Apply the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations to all activities, ensuring that correct PPE is worn, where required, particularly in respect of dealing with chemicals. Keep all cleaning store cupboards tidy and that chemicals are stored correctly in accordance with COSHH.
Provide excellent customer service by ensuring safety measures are adhered to at all times, including standard operating procedures and emergency action plans, where required.
Experience
Knowledge and Experience Required
The post holder will ideally have proven experience in cleaning. A basic knowledge of hygiene, health and safety would be an advantage
