Job Overview
Are you a qualified Swim Teacher with a Swim England or STA qualification? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
As a Swim Teacher, you will work across all Active swimming pool facilities, delivering high-quality aquatic programmes to a diverse range of participants. Your responsibilities will include teaching Learn to Swim lessons, delivering school swimming sessions in line with the Jersey curriculum, leading coaching sessions, facilitating parent and child classes, and supporting a variety of specialist aquatic activities.
You will be responsible for creating engaging, safe, and inclusive learning environments that enable swimmers of all ages and abilities to build confidence, develop skills, and progress in the water. Accurate recording of learner progress and achievements will be a key part of the role, ensuring records remain up to date and support each participant’s ongoing development.

There are 9 vacancies available, with the following working patterns:
- 1 x 25 hours per week, 42.8 weeks per year (term-time working, no shift pattern)
- 1 x 20 hours per week, 42.8 weeks per year (term-time working, no shift pattern)
- 2 x 15 hours per week, 36 weeks per year (no shift pattern)
- 4 x 24.75 hours per week, 36 weeks per year (alternating shift pattern)
- 1 x 17.25 hours per week, 36 weeks per year (alternating shift pattern)
