Job Overview
Jersey Talking Therapies (JTT) are passionate about providing psychological therapies to the population of Jersey and it is an exciting time to join our team as a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.
Jersey Talking Therapies (JTT) is a busy and expanding service which provides NICE compliant evidence based psychological interventions using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other approved therapies. We deliver therapy in person, over the phone, in groups and using digital therapy options.
We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and skilled individuals who will join our team as a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP). The role will require you to undertake an intensive one year PGDip Psychological Therapies Practice (Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) at the University of Exeter. You will need to attend university as required, which will include blocks of in-person teaching in Exeter. Most teaching will be two days per week, with the rest of your working week spent providing low intensity CBT assessment and interventions in accordance with NICE guidance. You will receive clinical supervision in the workplace and University to develop your clinical skills.
To be eligible you will have an undergraduate degree or equivalent (not necessarily in a discipline connected to mental health) and be able to demonstrate in the region of one year of substantive related experience within a mental health setting or working extensively with patients with mental health difficulties.
