Job Overview

About the role:

Children’s Social Care are seeking an experienced and motivated Youth Worker to join our Adolescent Team. You will provide both 1:1 and group-based support to vulnerable young people who are at risk of, or experiencing, contextual safeguarding concerns, exploitation, or going missing.

Working closely with allocated Social Workers, you will play a vital role in helping young people build safety, resilience, and positive connections. A key part of the role will also involve working 2 days a week supporting early intervention and preventative work, delivered in partnership with Jersey Youth Service.

What you will bring to the Team:

You’ll bring a passion for supporting young people and the confidence to engage with those experiencing complex challenges. With experience of working with vulnerable adolescents, you’ll have a strong understanding of safeguarding, adolescent development, and the importance of youth voice. You’ll be a natural communicator who can build trust, motivate others, and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team. Flexibility, creativity, and resilience are key, as is the ability to adapt to changing needs and work some evenings or weekends when required. A full driving licence and access to a car are essential for this role.
