We’re creating change for our children.

We’re on a journey to build loving homes that provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in our care. Every young person deserves the opportunity to have a place to call home; a place where they are supported to reach their full potential.

Building Loving Homes

We're building loving homes

We’re investing £15 million to create a plan for whole system change including new residential homes and investment in our workforce.

We’re on a transformation journey making real changes and we’ve made strong progress towards building the foundations to ensure every child in our care can thrive.

Our plan is receiving external endorsement from our partners:

The Jersey Care Commission in their 2025 inspection praised the renewed focus stating: ‘The ‘Loving Homes’ project workstream is cohesive and joined up with necessary multidisciplinary and corporate sign-up. It is ambitious and brave and demonstrates a genuine will to innovate and improve services to children and families in Jersey.’

In responding to the Government’s proposal to invest in the Children’s Services improvement plan the Office for Children’s Commissioner Jersey stated: ‘Whilst we acknowledge that improving the estate is essential, children in care require more than sound buildings. They also need skilled, stable, well-supported staff to care for them in a therapeutic way and work with other partners to ensure their health, educational and wider rights are fulfilled.’
